Kaiserschild Walls of Vision

Classic art meets street art

Here, the logo of the „Kaiserschild Walls of Vision“ project can be seen. It consists of the outlines of a house viewed from the side, with light green stripes applied to one of its walls. Below it you can read „Kaiserschild Walls of Vision“. Except for the white lettering „Kaiserschild“, the entire logo is light green on a black background.

Kaiserschild Walls of Vision, an art project in public spaces, places the Foundation’s art collection in new contexts and engages a broad audience with the works that emerge.

The project invites street artists to interpret works from the Foundation's collection in a fresh, contemporary manner, reimagining them in their signature styles. Curators from the Alte Galerie of the Universalmuseum Joanneum are on hand to support them with their expertise in the history of art.

The intent of Kaiserschild Walls of Vision is to forge a connection between classic and urban art. An accompanying digital art education program explains the reinterpretation process, helping viewers of the art understand both genres.
