Kaiserschild Urban Art

Through Kaiserschild Urban Art, the Foundation brings art into the public space and fosters new encounters between art, the city and society. The project places works, themes and artistic perspectives in new contexts and makes them accessible to a wide audience.

Artists draw inspiration from the themes explored by the Foundation, as well as from works in its art collection. They engage with these impulses, reinterpret them, and translate them into their own visual language. The resulting works bring different eras, perspectives, and artistic forms of expression into dialogue with one another. The projects are accompanied by scholarly and art-historical expertise.
